Smith Rock 21st-23rd

Eric Williams leading
Puffies, it was cold!
More leading, can't remember the climb but we were on the backside
Still a bit chilly
Warming up!

Yet another climbing trip! Daniel, Eric Williams, and I did the short journey to Smith last weekend. It was the first time this year Daniel and I have been to Smith. It was nice weather and it a little cooler than normal for this time of year (much appreciated!). Vests and capilene in the shade even! We had fun with some good leads done by all. Our Alaska trip really put a kink in our rock climbing so it's taken me quite a while to warm up this year but I'm starting to feel a bit more comfortable without ice tools in my hands...It's funny what you get used to.

Squamish!

Daniel and I spent 4 days in Squamish in the beginning of June.

We did a multipitch climb on The Apron called The Snake. A fun climb with lot's of laybacking.
We enjoyed great weather throughout the weekend. 70s and sunny everyday!
Even better yet, we stayed at a bed and breakfast for two nights, took naps, made dinner together, watched movies, and enjoyed this view!
Overall a relaxing, enjoyable weekend playing on Squamish's quality granite cracks :-)

City of Rocks Memorial Day Trip

Daniel, Reuben, and I had the opportunity and the weather to spend yet another Memorial Day at the City of Rocks in Idaho. It was a fun, relaxing first rock climbing trip of the year for us with climbing, hot springs, and catching up on some sleep too :-) At the end of the trip we finally got to see my brother and sister-in-law's house in Boise and spend some time with Jason before the long drive home. Yet another good City trip...

Alaska Range Ruth Gorge

We finally did another big trip and this trip is the biggest climbing trip we have ever done! In April Daniel and I flew into the Alaska Range to climb Ham and Eggs. It was a successful and fun trip! Enjoy some pictures!

Activity AND Relaxation are good for the soul

Activity
I thought I would share some photos from crossfit at Recreate Fitness to give all of you non-crossfitters an idea of what I do at my gym every day. See, it's not torture, it's fun! Come join me for a workout some time and see if you like it!
Turkish GetUps . Tina got this really cool picture of Daniel and I. It looks posed but it's not! I love it :-)
John, Daniel, and I doing Windmills. Another cool shot.
Rope Whips

Heavy Med Ball Cleans with a 50lb ball. Nadine and I did this partner workout that involved each of us doing a total of 55 med ball cleans, 55 box jumps, 55 ringrows, and a 500m row. It was awesome and I love working out with Nadine, she's a great partner.

Kipping Pullup!
Relaxation!
We have been having a great time lately getting back to what really matters....friends and family! Here are some pictures of the cutest one-year-old ever, my niece Anastasia...and dinner at the Montage with great friends from work. I also helped Hannah clean up before her move and needed to appease Reuben, so he became the proud owner of an old jar of peanut butter to keep the anteater busy for a while.

Happy Birthday Daniel

Daniel, my St. Patties Day hubby is now a quarter of a century old! He celebrated with a crossfit workout, lunch at the Red Bike Cafe (yum yum), new iPhones, dinner at Autentica (try their 3$ tacos, amazing!), and per his request dirt dessert...complete with the gummy worms. He loved his pampered chef baking stones! Here's a pic of his dirt complete with 25 candles.
