Yet Another Smith Rock Day

What does Team Harro do on a random Monday off together? They go to Smith Rock! Reuben, Daniel and I packed up our bags and headed to Smith Sunday night. Reuben would like to say that he likes the river...but he doesn't like to swim. He likes camping...but he doesn't like the tent. And he likes eating grass...but he doesn't like puking it up. What can you say, he's pretty particular. All in all we had a great time soaking up the sun and getting some new tan lines in 70degree weather (much different than pdx was enjoying). We did some favorites and some climbs we haven't done in a while and had a full day of climbing. Hopefully as the weather gets warmer we can teach Reuben the fine art of using his incredibly large front paws as paddles.

We headed back to the Portland rain got home just in time to shower and head over to our friends', Leslie and Sam Wasmann, house for dinner. They are both excellent cooks and we enjoyed a South American themed dinner and dessert. Leslie is my friend and was my day shift preceptor when I was in my residency program for three months. She taught me sooo much and helped me be able to come back every day and fumble through my first months as a newly graduated RN :-) She just recently won the AACN National Mentor of the Year award (nominated by yours truly, one of many who are amazed at her talents!) and will soon be traveling to the American Association of Critical Care Nurses national conference to accept her award in front of hundreds! Yay Leslie, I'm so proud of you (and forever impressed)!!!
